Wedding Photography: Oddfellows Chester – Kirsty and Craig

The quirky boutique hotel Oddfellows in Chester was the venue for the beautiful Sunday wedding of Kirsty and Craig. The Bride and Groom had wanted something a little bit different for their wedding day and the very unusual décor at Oddfellows was perfect!

Kirsty’s bridal preparations were just over the road at the Oddfellows Apartments. Tina concentrated on photographing the bridal preparations and made full use of some of the unusual decorations for some of the details photos, the something borrowed, something blue and other bridal knick-knacks. The Apartments are very close to the Chester City walls and some lovely old cobbled streets which were perfect backdrops for the bridal portraits and Father of the Bride photos.

Meanwhile, over in the Grown Up Room at Oddfellows Craig was awaiting his bride with the guests and the Groomsmen. Kirsty travelled on foot from the Apartment up to Oddfellows on her Dad’s arm. The allowed some interesting street photos as the Bridesmaids waiting at the entrance for her arrival.

The ceremony was held in the gorgeous Grown Up room, an individually designed private room with contemporary chandeliers and dramatic Georgian windows. After the ceremony it was across to the Grown Up Bar, complete with boxing willow hares and out onto the rooftop terrace in the beautiful Chester sun!

After the wedding breakfast we headed down to the River Dee for some early evening photos along the city walls, by the river and on the Queen’s Park suspension bridge. The bride and groom enjoyed a personal moment with the release of two balloons before getting a huge cheer from a passing pleasure boat!

The evening concluded back at Oddfellows with the cutting of the cake and the first dance.
