Wedding Photography: Thornton Manor – Sam and Ken

We were at the wonderful Thornton Manor country house to photograph the wedding celebrations of Sam and Ken. The couple were officially married in Florida in the United States and wanted to hold a celebration ceremony here in the UK. The day ran as a normal wedding day with the bridal preparations being held at Thornton Manor while Ken and the guests arrived ahead of the ceremony. The ceremony was held downstairs in the early Georgian dining room and was conducted by Ken’s father.

Once the vows were exchanged the wedding party headed outside for the confetti throwing in the beautiful lime tree avenue that the dining room opens onto as the couple emerged from the ceremony room. After this there were lawn games outside Thornton Manor in the gardens. While the guests were enjoying the drinks reception the couple headed off for some couple photos in the wonderful gardens that Thornton Manor boasts. There seems to be no end of great backdrops around the Manor and gardens as well as a beautiful meadow close by which we used to great effect with the Bridge and Groom running through the grass!

It was then back inside to the Music Room for the speeches and wedding breakfast after which came the evening reception. We also popped out for some sunset couple photos before wrapping up the wedding photography with the cutting of the cake and the first dance.
