Simon J. Newbury Photography had the very great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Alex and Jon in the beautiful surroundings of Peckforton Castle in Cheshire. Peckforton Castle is such a stunning venue, both indoors and out with no end of lovely backdrops for the wedding photos. Tina concentrated on the Bridal preparations ahead of the ceremony while Simon photographed the Great Hall laid out ahead of the ceremony and the establishing shots for the wedding album that we will be producing. Simon also did the Groomsmen photos including the two Best Men – aged just 4 and 6!

Wedding Photography: Crewe Register Office | Emma and Duncan

Simon J. Newbury Photography were commissioned to photograph the wedding of Emma and Duncan at Crewe Register Office. It was by far the smallest wedding party we have ever photographed, just five including the bride and groom! The photography team nearly doubled the number of guests! Given the size of the wedding party, the wedding ceremony was conducted in the more intimate Register Office on the ground floor of the Municipal Buildings in Crewe. After the ceremony we did some photos in the lovely settings of the Mayor’s Reception Room upstairs (where all the larger weddings take place). We also made use of the beautiful staircase where we produced one of our favourite wedding photos of 2014!

We had the very great pleasure of photographing the winter wedding of Sam and Matt who chose The Doubletree by Hilton Hotel and Spa in Chester for their ceremony and wedding reception. We visited The Doubletree with Sam and Matt earlier in the year for the pre wedding photography session. It was a little warmer back then as we used the wonderful grounds of the hotel for the photos!

We had the very great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Jo & Hugh. The day started with bridal preparations in Winsford at Jo’s parents home before heading along to the Weaver Church for the ceremony. The little church was full to capacity to witness a wonderful ceremony conducted in part by Hugh’s uncle an Irish Catholic Priest. The service also had some extra personal touches with Jo’s relative playing the church organ as well as some wonderful singing from Jo’s friends!

We had the very great honour of photographing the wedding of Vicky and Daniel earlier in the year. We were with the couple all day and recorded all the celebrations from the bridal preparations in the morning, to the ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Acton and on to the reception at Combermere Abbey.

Prior to the wedding day we did the engagement session (complimentary in all our main wedding photography collections) at Combermere Abbey. This gave us the chance to work with Vicky and dan at the location and look at the locations around the wonderful grounds that they liked in particular to maximise the photography time on the actual wedding day.
