Music Photography: James Live | Delamere Forest

The third and final live music show at Delamere Forest this year saw a sell out crowd enjoy Manchester band James. The popular Delamere Forest shows help the Forestry Commission plough money back into the upkeep of the forests and shows are held across seven forest sites in the UK. This year’s headliners were Paloma Faith, who also played at Delamere Forest in 2013, Tom Odell and the final show saw James entertain the large crowd.

While Simon was over at Delamere Forest to photograph Tom Odell, Tina headed up to Manchester to photograph the latest instalment of Summer in the City at Castlefield Bowl. The Charlatans headlined with support coming from Super Furry Animals and Blossoms.

The second of three shows at Delamere Forest in 2015 saw Tom Odell headlining in front of a large audience. Simon was over at Delamere to photograph Tom while Tina was over in Castlefield Bowl for The Charlatans.

Simon J. Newbury Photography were asked to be the official photographer for the Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott headline show at Summer In The City at Castlefield Bowl in Manchester. This meant getting some great extra photos from the stage and some nice vantage points overlooking the stage which straddles a canal at Castlefield Bowl in Manchester.

Forest Live hosts a series of special concerts in seven fabulous forest venues throughout England. Cheshire’s Delamere Forest played host to Paloma Faith, Tom Odell and James.

Last weekend was a busy weekend of music photography for Simon J. Newbury Photography. Between the two of us we covered six events in four nights. We were at Delamere Forest for the three Delamere Live shows and also at Castlefield Bowl in Manchester for Summer in the City.
